Quilt I Made For Our Anniversary
For our tenth wedding anniversary, I made a lap quilt with boats and lighthouses. My hubby grew up with boats and fishing. When I met him he had a small boat we would take out fishing with his youngest son and my son.

The opposite side has fishing boats and a scene of various nautical features. Those are bordered with solid colored fabrics. It was fun creating this as I knew how much my husband would enjoy it.
We haven't been able to enjoy the boat he made since I got sick in July 2008. Trying to find someone to go out in the boat with him as I don't want him going alone.

That is a beautiful quilt - I especially like the colors. It is always wonderful when you can customize the quilt to meet the interests of the recipient. I hope your husband gets to enjoy his boat for many more years. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to find someone who would want to go along.
