Timex Watches

This will not be very long just airing a frustration. Time pieces, watches whether cheap or expensive we expect to work for a bit.

When you pay a good chunk of change for something that is usually a great brand you have trusted many years and it dies, you get frustrated.

Hubby needed a watch maybe a couple of years ago could be shorter than that. We decided that since he has always such good luck with Timex that we would buy a more expensive model and it would last even longer(WRONG). The date has never worked right since buying it. Just a few weeks ago the stem came off in his hand(LUCKILY). The stem kept pulling out for no reason.

I asked him the time yesterday to see if a store might not be opened and the stem had fallen off and the watch was stopped. Needless to say we were frustrated.

He told me it had been loosing time the last few weeks or stopping intirely. We went to Wal-Mart and bought the cheapest watch they had. The brand was Puritan. Hopefully it will last a bit. Our budget is so fixed that things like this don't go very well. Especially, since gas keeps going up almost daily and he travels about sixty miles round trip to work daily.

I never pay more than $25 for a watch which I buy at one of those end of line clothes shops. I'm wearing one as I write that has kept good time for 3 years. Timex used to be good it was my first watch, bad luck with yours.
