Cat At Our Kitchen Window

Cat Behavior

When we first moved into this house, there was a big individual pane window in the kitchen. Outside the window was a long flower box. Rainy weather the dirt would bounce all over the the lower window panes. We took it down because flowers didn't grow well in it.

Sometimes I would look up to find a cat peering into the window and pawing as though it was saying let me in. It was a huge beige and white cat with a dent in its forehead between its eyes. It walked across this planter to reach the window.

I was talking with a neighbor a couple houses up from us and telling her that I had a feral cat trying to get into my house. She thought it was amusing. One day as I was talking to her I saw the cat on her window sill. Told her THAT is the cat. She it wasn't a feral but hers. Probably wasn't the one I was talking about.

Well, I described the cat to her with the dent between its eyes. Yup, it was hers. It was a cyst that wouldn't go away. Sadly, it had to be put down as it got old and sickly.
