Tiny Animals Made From Fabric

A few years ago after I had been making stuffed animals for awhile, I decided to draw a photo and cut it out. Amazing, that is how I started making my Pocket Pals. Their size is usually 4 to 8 inches.

My first one was an elephant. It was two legged. That didn't make me happy, so I decided it was time to revise it and make another. My next one I make with an insert for its belly and managed to have the four leg it was supposed to have. That still didn't make me feel it was what I wanted for the final look.

I had someone request that I make one from plush fabric for a friend of hers that had severe brain damage to take with her where ever she went. This one I make with joints and it came out fantastic. I use it for an avatar with some sites. It was baby blue in color and I named it Pint Size.

After that elephant, I make a giraffe. This one turned out spindley and it was bought by a neighbor to send to a girl in Africa. At first it frustrated me and I threw it into my sewing room garbage, but pulled it back out and prayed that God would give me the wisdom to fix my blunder and finish it.

My next one was a Hippo. That I made with Retro fabric and it was delightful. Sadly, it dissappeared from the store I had some items in at the time.

Another challenge was the Kangaroo that I named Margaret. I even made a pouch for her.

The next challange was a Rhino. That didn't come out as I had planned, but haven't done a redo of yet either. I've been sick and nearly died back in 2008 and still recovering from my two major surgeries. Getting the itch to start again soon when it is warmer.

Most of my creations I name. My husband gets a kick out of that and says I can remember them all(wished I did).

They are adorable--really clever. I think you should post all of the photos individually in the hub, and show them off better.
